Centerpieces

I think I found what I would like to use for our centerpieces!  Now.... if I could only figure out where to find these. . . .

What I would like to do, is line these will vellum paper that has the table number printed on it and maybe the menu for the evening. I would put an LED light inside to illuminate the glass.  Then I would use something like these inside:

And then suspend the lanterns from these poles like in the picture I love so much

Decisions =\

I hate decisions. Why are they so hard to make?

I think it's the fact that decisions are so... final.

I'm trying to decide what to do about catering.  And there are always toooooo many choices. Too many companies, too many prices. Prices I can't really afford but will have to bite the bullet and pay anyways.  I'm afraid "it" will happen again.

It? What's "it"?
"It" was choosing our venue before really looking into other places.  Sunday weddings can be cheaper because they fall on Sundays.  If I had known then what I know now, I would have looked for a place that wasn't as restrictive as the place we've chosen.  The place I decided on is beautiful, no doubt, but there are a lot of restrictions that I'm not comfortable with now that I understand what I am looking for in a wedding.
The restriction on how many people can attend.
The restriction of how long we're able to use the property.
Restriction on alcohol.
Restriction on the DJ that can be used at the venue.
Restrictions on decorating.

As soon as I signed that contract last May, I had already blown my chances of having everything I wanted, without realizing it.  For the small wedding we were initially discussing for 35/40 people, the venue I chose would have been just about right.
Now that the guest list is nearing 100, I feel like I couldn't have made a worse decision because our wedding date is 10/10/10 and EVERYONE ELSE IS GETTING MARRIED ON THE SAME DAYYYYYYYYY. You would not believe how many ppl are getting married on 10/10/10.  A couple months ago, I sheepishly called about 10 different venues to see if they had availability.  Of course nobody did.  So basically, I"ve made my bed, I need to lay in it. I'm gonna go pout some more about why making choices is so hard.

I'll be honest. Every day I do a bit of browsing for the wedding. Be it pretty pictures of cakes, diy led glowie lanterns, catering, invitations... I am scouring the internet for inspiration. I often go to weddingbee.com or projectwedding.com to see what kind of pretties that other brides have recently posted about.

What has daily web scouring given me? A head full of ideas for projects and decorations... that I can't choose between =.=;

Again, I will be honest. Our wedding is coming up in just over 7 months and I have not gotten a solid idea of what I want this wedding to be.  I want origami, I want paper lanterns, I want good food, and to have a lot of fun! I want an asian themed wedding, but I don't want it to be cheesy. I want my family to enjoy themselves, but I don't want the price tag of our wedding to keep escalating.
